We have to-date, helped provide a number of military nations with their WECDIS solution and more importantly provided the right training. Training that can provide both a valuable commercial STCW certificate, whilst combining with best military navigation practice – tought by ex military navigation experts.
Unlike merchant ships, hardware may need to integrate with onboard command and battle systems to exchange positional data, as well as locations of friendly or enemy forces.

Besides the excellent infrastructure and first-class set up, what impressed me most was the professionalism of the staff.
Different systems support an array of chart overlay features and additional functions (such as Target Motion Analysis, or TMA) that some other systems do not. Then of course there is the requirement to train an entire fleet of bridge watchkeeping officers – from cadets to commanding officers – which is no small task in itself.
ECDIS Ltd have provided procurement consulting services to four naval forces to date. We have put plans in place to train the remaining necessary personnel from these organisations and have also been training representatives from other military forces and defence companies.
